Jobsking

Write for us

Jobsking is read by people checking what a job actually pays, career changers weighing a switch, and HR and recruitment professionals comparing notes on hiring. If you have a concrete story about careers, salary, applying for jobs, education or work, we want to hear from you. Here is what we publish and how to submit an article.

Who reads Jobsking

Three groups come back to Jobsking regularly. Job seekers land on our profession pages to check what a role pays before an interview, or to compare education paths before applying to a program. Career changers read our cover letter examples and CV page when they move from one field to another, often after a layoff or a return to work. HR and recruitment professionals use our blog to check current salary ranges and hiring practices before writing a job posting or making an offer. A guest post that speaks to one of these readers, not all three at once, works best.

Topics we publish

We cover six areas: careers, salary, applying for jobs, education, work and HR. That means a piece on what a dental hygienist earns in a given state, a breakdown of how to negotiate a counteroffer, a guide to writing a cover letter for a career switch into project management, or a look at how a mid-size company redesigned its interview process. We also run pieces on continuing education requirements for licensed trades and on how remote work has changed onboarding. If your topic fits one of these six buckets and gives the reader something they can act on, submit an article.

What a good contribution looks like

Pick one clear angle and stick to it. An article titled "How I negotiated a 12% raise as a registered nurse" works better than a general piece on salary negotiation. Draw on your own experience, a dataset you have worked with, or a process you have run, like reviewing 200 resumes a year as a hiring manager. Every figure needs a source: a government labor statistic, a survey you conducted, or a report you can link to. Write for the reader who is about to make a decision, not for search engines. We read every guest post with that reader in mind.

Our editorial standards

We only accept original work that has not been published elsewhere, including on your own site or LinkedIn. The piece has to be useful on its own, not padding around a single idea. We do not accept AI-generated filler, generic listicles with no specifics, or text that reads like it could run on any career site. Our editors may edit a submission for clarity, shorten it, restructure it, or decline it if it does not fit our readers. We will tell you if we make changes before publishing.

Editorial collaborations with brands and partners

We also work with brands, agencies and partners on editorial collaborations and partner content, when the subject matter fits our six topics and adds real value for job seekers, career changers or HR professionals. If you represent a company, an agency or a hiring platform and want to propose a collaboration, use the short form below to tell us who you are and what you have in mind.

Frequently asked questions

How do I submit an article to Jobsking?

Use the form on this page. Include your proposed headline, a short outline of your angle, and a sentence or two about your experience with the topic. If you already have a draft, paste it into the message field.

How long until I hear back?

Our editors read every submission. We reply when a topic fits what we are planning for our readers, which can take a while when many proposals come in. If you have not heard from us and want to check, send a short follow-up through the same form.

May I publish the piece elsewhere?

We only publish original work that has not appeared online before, including on your own site or LinkedIn. Once your article runs on Jobsking, please do not post the same text unchanged elsewhere. If you want to reuse parts of it, ask us first through the form.

Do you accept AI-written submissions?

Not when the text is generic AI filler or recycles common advice without specifics. Using a tool to check spelling or structure is fine, as long as the experience, the examples and the figures are your own and you have checked every claim yourself.

Can brands or agencies work with Jobsking?

Yes. We work with brands, agencies and partners on editorial collaborations and partner content that fits our six topics and serves our readers. Use the short form on this page to start that conversation.
